HOLY @#$% indeed. This is my next phone likely, unless the HD2 comes out sooner. I realize they are they same hardware but HD2 has a larger screen and id just flash android onto it. However if i got this phone id like to see sense put on it because it makes the experience so much nicer. Im very impressed with google and HTC at the moment, though.

I don’t understand how T-mobile is cheaper. VZw is $119 a month for 700 mins and unlimited data for the family plan. T-mobile is exactly the same price for 750 mins and unlimited data for the family plan. I’ll dump the extra 50 mins for a service I can use everywhere.

@PeteC I think you meant to say: why isn’t the screen bigger?
wedding dresses dual sim evening dress led watch mp4 mp5 r4 r4i laser pointer homescreen, which when pressed brings up a webOS card-style preview of all homescreen pages — which raises some interesting possibilities. Apparently there’s been a new software update for the device pushed tonight, and sure enough the phone is identified as the Nexus One on the system info page. Quite clearly this device is running on T-Mobile, and is also using WiFi, so there’s two other questions you’ve got answers to. The phone also appears to come loaded up with Google Navigation (a bit of a no-brainer) and the brand-spanking-new Google Goggles. Hardware wise, green beam laser pointer, the Nexus does look incredibly thin and sleek, and while there’s not a slew of buttons (those four up front are clearly touch sensitive), there is a dedicated volume rocker along the side. Oh, and note this… no HTC logo anywhere to be found. We’ll update the post as / if we get more info, but for now, feast your eyes on the gallery below!
Update: One item of interest. In the packaging there’s a quick start guide which points users to a "questions" page at google.com/phone/support. The page is a dead end right now,rc mini helicopter, but it certainly gets an eyebrow raise from us. If there is a real Google Phone in the offing, that seems a likely landing page for support.
Update 2: In case you’re interested, here’s Android 2.1’s boot animation for Nexus One. Eerily familiar, no?
[Thanks, RD]

You do know that Anything with Android 2.0 has the ability for multitouch.
And the Droid has no multitouch active right now. The Milestone does though.
So really Droid and Nexus are in the same boat. Multitouch-less until someone roots it into a ROM.
But me, myself. I have a rooted phone…and I don’t even use multitouch…so I know next phone I get will not get rooted. No need for it.

@yulebellow My Droid got a little jealous there for a second…but then I remembered that Android google based apps don’t recognize multi touch so (for things that require multitouch or a keyboard), so it has nothing to worry about. I’m just a lil pissed that I left T-mo for better service and an awesome phone, but at a much higher price….only for them to get an equally awesome phone! SMH

I pay $139.99 for two phones with unlimited talk, text, and web on T-Mobile…switched from Verizon to T-Mo because of that, elegant wedding dresses, and since I live in LA, no issues with signal whatsoever, avatar nds r4, and with the 7.2mbps upgrade coming out, faster 3G to boot…
@(Unverified) That is $119 plus $29 for each smart phone. Yes, verizon says unlimited data but you still need to purchase a smart phone plan for each BB/Android/WinMob device.

@(Unverified) Not sure where you received your information on T-Mo service plans but I pay 102 and some change final bill. Tax and everything for complete unlimited service including minutes. I don’t think there is a plan out there that can match that with fees and taxes included and I have service everywhere I go.
