Samsung Galaxy Core

The 4.3-inch LCD display on the Galaxy Core features a middling resolution of 480 x 800 pixels (WVGA). The screen is not razor sharp and you’d notice slight pixelization. Technically, pixel density comes at 217ppi, slightly below average, but we would not count this as a fatal flaw given the price of the handset.
The first thing you notice when you fire up the display is that it is just not bright enough. At a peak brightness of merely 343 nits, everything on it looks dim to the point where it’s hard to use the device outdoors. Color ZOPO ZP910 accuracy of the display is high and generally we are pleased with the picture. Viewing angles are good and colors do not deteriorate even when viewed from an angle.
Samsung also saved on oleophobic coating and the screen quickly gets covered in greasy smudges, making it hard to read and forcing you to wipe it clean way too often. There is also no light sensor and that means no automatic brightness setting. Samsung had to cut it short somewhere to arrive at the affordable price, but lacking automatic brightness setting is just plain annoying. Luckily, Samsung includes a brightness slider right in the notification dropdown for easy and quick control. The Galaxy Core Onda V975 comes in a white and blue versions, and we have the white one for test. The build quality is solid, with no screaking parts. The handset is thin rather than thick at 9mm (0.35”). It is very lightweight, tipping the scales at only 124 grams (4.38 oz). It is also relatively compact and easy to use single-handedly, plus it won’t stick out of your pockets like some larger phones   ZOPO ZP900S . Under the easily removable back cover are a user-replaceable battery, a microSD card slot and the two micro SIM card slots.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 Ainol Novo 7 AX1

Ainol Novo 7 AX1 Quad Core Tablet PC The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 stylishly embraces a more simple aesthetic compared with its predecessor. For a 10-inch tablet, it manages to be a rather compact device; it's lightweight and sleek, with thin bezels and a clean, cohesive design that would make any iPad melt with flattery.
Ainol tablet 7 AX1 Quad Core Tablet PC Unfortunately, Samsung continues its trend of lackluster updates to its 10-inch Galaxy Tab line. While I appreciate the Tab 3 10.1's stylish turn, its specs are only a modest upgrade from the Tab 2 10.1, resulting in noticeably lackluster performance. In fact, "change" -- instead of "upgrade" -- is a better way to describe its new components.
Also, PiPo M9Pro 3G RK3188 Quad Core Tablet PC the tablet's design is plagued by trigger-happy menu and back buttons. The two buttons can too easily be activated, and I found myself accidentally pressing them a lot, even after I'd become painfully aware of their over-sensitivity. PiPo M9Pro 3G RK3188 Quad Core Tablet PC However, its design -- certainly not its functionality -- is what prevents it from being completely forgettable.
Samsung didn't attempt to push the envelope with the Tab 3 10.1 and succeeded in producing a mediocre device. Thanks to its dull hardware upgrades and the resulting underwhelming performance, the tablet proves an inferior product in a sea of much wiser choices.
For the same price, the Google Nexus 10 offers a higher-resolution screen, faster performance, and is much more functional.

The 8-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 is the latest example of the company's weird pricing decisions. At $300, the Tab 3 is expensive for a small tablet that -- aside from its 1.5GB of RAM -- has fairly modest specs and hardware features.
In the "small tablet" space -- 7- to 9-inch screen sizes -- great models are more affordable than ever. The Nexus 7, Kindle Fire HD, Fire HD 8.9, Nook HD, and Nook HD+ are all available for $269 or less. Of course, one reason they're so affordable is that they're all 2012 models that are effectively on closeout, with new models due imminently (or likely not at all, in the case of the Nook).Ainol Novo 7 AX1 Quad Core Tablet PC MT6589 7 Inch 3G GPS Bluetooth 8GB White
That's where the 8-inch Tab 3 steps in. Ainol Novo 7 AX1 Quad Core Tablet PC MT6589 7 Inch 3G GPS Bluetooth 8GB White Of the three new Tab 3 models -- there's also a $400 10-inch version and a $200 7-incher -- it's the one with the best feature set: a sharp bright screen, good performance, a light comfortable design, and Samsung's multiwindow feature that allows two select apps to run concurrently on the screen. It also has an easy-to-set-up remote control/TV guide component and microSD expandable storage.
My initial reaction to the Tab 3's price was, "Wow, if only it were a tad lower, they'd have my money!" After all, $30 more would get you an iPad Mini, which still boasts the best app ecosystem around.Ainol Novo 7 AX1 Quad Core Tablet PC MT6589 7 Inch 3G GPS Bluetooth 8GB White
On the other hand, the 8-inch Tab 3 is $100 less than the nearly identical Note 8 -- and all you're not getting is the stylus that comes with that model. So, while I would have liked to see the 8-inch Tab 3 clock in at closer to $270, it's still a pretty satisfying package at $300.

How to Back Up Your Pictures Using an Android Tablet and External Hard Drives
Ho to Back Up Your Pictures Using an Android Tablet and External Hard Drives backupheader
In this post, I will share some of my techniques and experiences of backing up photos using a tablet while traveling. Ainol Novo 9 SparkLike most other landscape/nature/travel photographers, when I am on a multi-day or multi-week photo tour, I face the problem of backing up my photos from the memory cards. A laptop computer is a nature choice for most people.
With a laptop, we can copy files between the memory cards, laptop disk drive, and external disks. We can even do some light editing.
Many years ago when I was young, I used to lug an 8-pound 17-in monster laptop Ainol Novo 9 Spark while traveling. I just loved the big screen.
First and foremost, you need to use an Android tablet (or even an Android phone). An iOS device such as iPad does not work because Apple limits the way it can be used. Sure you can use the Camera Connect Kit to copy photos into an iPad. However you cannot get the RAW files out of the iPad by copying them to an external disk drive or uploading to a online service such as Dropbox (there are some limited ways of get the JPEG versions of the files out with apps such as Goodreader, but that is not what we want).
You have to wait until you get home and plug the iPad to your PC or Mac so you can copy the files from the iPad to your computer.

Android tablet for Kids,

We are approaching the 1-year mark for Android tablets, that is if you don’t count that silly 7″ thing that Samsung released in December 2010. As far as official tablet operating system tablets go though, the XOOM was the first and it dropped towards the end of last February. That puts us right around a full year for Android tablets.

Oregon Scientific announces MEEP! Android tablet for Kids, Wile E's ears prick up
While this might not be the first kid-centric tablet we've seen, it's certainly got the coolest name. All we know about the MEEP! kiddie-slate right now is that it's made by Oregon Scientific, has a 7-inch Neonode zForce touchscreen display, http://www.superpad-sale.com/ WiFi, an SD card slot, a "G-sensor" for screen rotation -- and runs on an as yet unspecified version of Android. The makers claim it's suitable for ages six and up, and parents can monitor and limit web access via an online control panel. We're told that accessories will soon be on their way, including every parent's favorite: musical instruments. The full unveiling will be at the TIA toy fair this weekend. Road-run over the break for the full press release. MEEP! MEEP!  http://www.superpad-sale.com/
So over the last 12 months, we have seen almost every tech manufacturer on the planet pump out some sort of tablet. Most of them have dual-core processors, the screens seem to be getting better, cameras are improving, and so on and so forth. Over the next year, we will see quad-core chips, full HD screens, cameras at the level of our smartphones, and prices dropping into far reasonable zones. It could be an exciting year for tablets, even with most looking at 2011 as somewhat of a flop if you weren’t an iPad. http://www.superpad-sale.com/
As the curious crew that we are, w e want to know two things for this poll. Do you already own a tablet? If you do or don’t, are you still considering one (maybe a new one) going into 2012?
